this reminds me of a Cersei who didn’t grow to be so hard and jaded; a woman who didn’t learn that the world belonged to men, and to survive, she’d have to be able to play the game better than the rest. I imagine her laughter would echo, and her smile would bring any man to his knee. maybe her king would have loved her as much as she longed for him to, and somewhere along the way, she’d find happiness.

Jim Moriarty; Slytherin
Need I really elaborate on this? Although, no, not all Slytherins are antagonists, Jim’s defining qualities fit this house precisely. Clever, resourceful, and opportunistic, Moriarty is always one step ahead of the game; a regular criminal mastermind.

Molly Hooper; Hufflepuff
I think Molly has a bit of Ravenclaw and even Gryffindor in her, but at the end of the day it is her loyalty and quiet bravery that I find oustanding. I believe that people highly underestimate her, including Sherlock, but even he takes a step back and realizes just how much she counts, and how much she ties everything together.

Mycroft Holmes; Slytherin
What a perfect example of how a protagonist can be a perfect Slytherin. Although he shares Sherlock’s deduction skills to an extent, and is very savvy, Mycroft seems to enjoy nothing more than playing with power and pulling every resource at his fingertip to accomplish the task at hand. But what is his agenda? Does he have his brother’s best interests in mind, or his own? We may never know.

Mrs. Hudson; Hufflepuff
I also feel like she’s a quiet Gryffindor. Without her, London would fall, after all. But at the end of the day, Mrs. Hudson rings true to Hufflepuff. It’s her heart and her bravery that defines her, and she’d do anything to protect her boys at Baker Street.

Greg Lestrade; Ravenclaw
This one was tough. BBC’s adaption of Lestrade is by far my favorite, as he, for once, is not painted out to be a babbling fool who isn’t worthy of the title Detective Inspector. In fact, Scotland Yard is lucky to have him. I see Greg as a quiet thinker, very introspective. Even when he doesn’t seem to be, he’s always considering and processing the situation. He’s not too quick to rush into things, nor does he call upon Sherlock without absolute need. And when he does, he’s not giving up by far; just like any Ravenclaw would, he assesses the situation and recognizes Sherlock’s usefulness.

Sally Donovan; Gryffindor
If there’s any sorting that I expect people to disagree with me on, it’s this one. But hear me out. Sally Donovan may not be the most pleasant person, and most will rush to hate her for her offensive behavior towards Sherlock, but she is fearless and courageous, immediate to stand up for what she believes in. And the fact that she’s still around despite all that Sherlock calls her out on says quite a bit about who she is as a person, I think. She obviously loves her job, and being forced to work with “Freak” is not going to stop her from getting that job done.
